		<abstract>This paper aims to evaluate the efficiency of the CompPlexus software in the use of complexity analysis to distinguish targets in several ASTER bands. The metric used by the software is a measure of variability or He/Hmax, which is relates to the greater complexity of patterns in a heterogeneous system. The ENVI software was used to obtain the required information about the targets. These data were then entered into the CompPlexus software, which provides the complexity values of each target for each metric. The results shows that there is no large change in the pattern of complexity along the ASTER bands.</abstract>
